IT IS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF EARLY BARN BUILDING IN OHIO BY MASTER BARN BUILDERS WHO BUILT ONE OF A KIND INDIVIDUAL BARNS. THIS BARN ROOF COMBINES A PRINCIPLE RAFTER TIMBER FRAME WITH GRID ROOF DESIGN AND A 51' CONTINUOUS RIDGE BEAM. WE HAVE SEEN EXAMPLES OF PRINCIPLE RAFTER IN A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF BARNS AND MAYBE 3 BARNS WITH A CONTINUOUS RIDGE BEAMS ( OKLAHOMA FRAME) BUT NEVER WITH BOTH GREAT FEATURES. THE ROOF FRAME IS SUPPORTED WITH 7'X 10' WHITE OAK TIMBER RUNNING UP THE SLOPE OF THE ROOF AND CONNECTED MIDWAY WITH NICE 6'X7' TIE BEAMS. THE RIDGE BEAM IS FULL 7'X8' X51'. THIS BARN HAS 3 PRIMARY BAYS 17' WIDE EACH. THE PRIMARY POST ARE FULL 11'X11'. THIS FRAME HAS 4' BUMP OUT ON 1 SIDE AND A 7' BUMP OUT ON THE OTHER SIDE.
