High Desert Lumber is a sawmill located in the NE corner of California at Alturas. We are concentrating on cutting ponderosa pine lumber mostly from trees removed from overstocked timber stands at risk of fire and insect attack. Our lumber is all classified as rough green as at this point in our company's life we do not have a planer or a kiln. Both of which we are planning an budgeting to install. We sell our lumber on an FOB basis and can load flat bed trailers or trucks. We prefer truckload lots but will certainly sell smaller amounts. HDL has a close working relationship with a company that can provide treating services if needed.
